Antonio Conte reveals his ‘Three Favourites teams’ to win the Champions League this season
Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has named his former club as one of three favourites to win the Champions League this campaign.
The 52-year-old is currently working as a TV pundit in Italy after resigning from his position as Inter Milan head coach at the end of last season. When asked who he thought are the leading candidates to go all the way in the competition, Conte replied:
“The favourites are PSG, Manchester City and Chelsea”.
Considering they are the current holders and have been in superb form in recent weeks, it is unsurprising that Conte has given the Blues his backing.
Thomas Tuchel’s side do have Juventus in their group, but the Italian giants are not what they once were, while both Zenit St Petersburg and Malmo are not expected to cause many problems.
You would, therefore, expect Chelsea to qualify for the knockout rounds and, as we saw last season, anything can happen from that stage onwards.
