Antonio Conte Sacked By Chelsea

It has being widely reported that Chelsea have parted ways with manager Antonio Conte.

When Conte took charge at Stamford Bridge following a superb European Championship campaign with Italy, Chelsea fans were full optimism. Despite a shaky start, that optimism was soon justified by our total-football performances.

Chelsea won 13 Premier League games in a row, amassing 30 league wins come the end of the campaign. Prior to Manchester City’s ‘Centurions’ side last term, they both stood proud as Premier League records.

Conte got his hands on the Premier League trophy last May, but things would fast go downhill for the Italian. He famously dismissed Diego Costa by text message, freezing the Spaniard out before he was subsequently sold to Atletico Madrid.

He missed out on his top transfer targets and continually criticised the board in the public eye for their failures. His negativity in his press conferences found it’s way onto the pitch, and Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Conte has now paid the price for his failures, with the club confirming his departure. Grazie, Antonio, and good luck in the future!
