Attack is on way to complete Chelsea medical after agreeing Blues terms

Santos wonderkid Deivid Washington will undergo a medical at Chelsea in the next couple of days

CHELSEA have been very busy in the transfer market this summer and have signed a number of exciting talents that are heavily tipped to become some of the very best in the game.

And former Gremio schoolboy Washington is said to be keen on the move after the Blues have shown a real interest in getting a deal done and adding him to the squad in the future.

The Blues have reportedly agreed personal terms over a £17million switch from Santos – with the 18-year-old expected to be instantly loaned out to Strasbourg.

And Washington is due in London in the next couple of days to undergo a medical at the club before signing a five-year deal, the Metro Says.

The contract will have the option of a 12-month extension, taking the teenager to his 25th birthday at the club.

Washington is one of those exciting talents that many Chelsea fans have not heard of – that is not being signed to make an immediate impact on the squad now and is not ready for the Blues, he is for the future.

That Chelsea board have been spending some serious money over the past few transfer windows on their plans – and although many people have not seen Washington play – the scouts have been doing their work.

There is big hopes for the lad that he could go on to become a world class player – he is showing alot of potential.

We wish we would tell you guys that he will be a very good signing, we wish we could tell you that he is good enough, but we are going to tell you that he is probably a talent that will get lost into the system because this move is coming too soon for the lad.

He does not need to leave Brazil yet and join CHELSEA – there is no point, especially as he will probably spend the next few seasons out on loan.
