Barcelona set price tag for Chelsea target

Barcelona have reportedly set a fairly low price tag for a player who is allegedly wanted by Chelsea.

Considering they paid Liverpool £142 million to sign the attacking midfielder just over two years ago, the reported set fee may attract some of his suitors.

Chelsea are allegedly one of those potential suitors who could be alerted by the fee, with reports coming out over the last few days of their intentions to sign the Brazilian international.

Now, The Evening Standard have reported that Barcelona will consider offers of around £70 million (80 million euros) for Coutinho this summer.

He has had an up and down career since leaving Liverpool, struggling in Spain and then moving on loan to Bayern Munich.

It now looks like Barcelona have had enough and are prepared to cut their losses on the former Premier League star. Returning to the UK looks like a real option for him, but surely Chelsea have other areas as a priority to spend their money.
