Bayern Munich star Thiago has urged Chelsea target Philippe Coutinho to snub a move to Chelsea and remain with the German champions.
Coutinho sealed a £142m move to Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018, but struggled for the Catalan giants, before eventually sealing a loan move to Bayern Munich.
Coutinho’s loan spell at Bayern Munich hasn’t been fruitful, and the Bavarians aren’t keen on extending his deal.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is believed to be interested in signing up the Brazilian, but Thiago has urged Coutinho to remain in Germany as he hailed the talent of the Brazilian.
“He told Catalan newspaper La Vanguardia: “I know him well. He’s very good. I’ve seen him play since he was 12 years old. “I played futsal against him in Brazil and he loved it. He doesn’t think he lacks anything.
“I love playing with high-level footballers and he is a phenomenon. He is a spectacular guy, super hard-working, with an unbeatable technique and incredible definition.
“Players go through good and not so good moments and he is giving us a lot. We hope to have him next year too.”
