Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be looking to sign a left back this summer, with the area being high on the list of priorities.
Last week we covered an Instagram live video from Goal’s Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella where he said that the left back position is something Chelsea are looking to buy in when the transfer window reopens.
He also said that Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell remains the first choice target for left back, with Porto’s Alex Telles being the second choice option if that fails.
Well, Chilwell’s chances of a Chelsea move may have just increased, as it looks as if the backup option is close to being out of the equation.
According to Esportes GauchaZH, Telles is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain after talks advanced, with the deal expected to be concluded soon.
Chelsea will have to put all their eggs in one basket and hope to conclude their own deal for Chilwell now.
