BID APPROVED: Club to sign Chelsea ‘top’ transfer target named as better version of Kante

Chelsea might need to act fast or lose midfielder who has been hailed as a better version of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

According to Daily Mail, Premier League club Brighton are closing on the £4.5million signing of coveted Ecuador international Moises Caicedo after having an offer accepted.

The 19-year-old from Independiente del Valle is due to undergo a medical before committing to the South Coast club after negotiations intensified on Friday.

Chelsea reportedly enquired about Caicedo but are yet to submit any bid for the 19 year old midfielder.

However, South American football expert Tim Vickery has claimed Caicedo offers more than Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

“I don’t want to say that Moises Caicedo is going to be as good as Colin Bell,” Vickery told Sky Sports.

“But Moises Caicedo is in that kind of mould – he’s a terrific athlete who makes football look easy.

“He’s a box-to-box midfielder. A year ago he was saying that Kante of Chelsea was his role model. He’s already more than that – he offers more in the final third than that.

“That kind of box-to-box midfielder which is very much in the tradition of the English game – strong, quick, intelligent, cool. He really does look like the genuine article.”
