Big injury blow for Chelsea as key player set to miss FA Cup final against Liverpool

According to reports, Chelsea star could miss the FA Cup Final versus Liverpool due to injury.

Chelsea player Mateo Kovacic may miss the FA Cup final against Liverpool due to injury, During Wednesday’s Premier League match against Leeds United, the Croatian suffered an injury.

Chelsea defeated 10-man Leeds United 3-0 at Elland Road on Wednesday, with Romelu Lukaku, Mason Mount, and Christian Pulisic each scoring one goal.

Although the victory gives excitement to Chelsea fans, an injury setback could occur before the FA Cup final versus Liverpool. Mateo Kovacic may be out for the match after suffering an injury against the Peacocks.

Chelsea will be hoping that Kovacic will be able to play against Liverpool this weekend. Around the 24th minute, Leeds’ Dan James was sent out for a red card foul on the Croatian international. Following the challenge, Kovacic played for a few minutes before being forced to leave and being replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

After obtaining medical assistance, Kovacic staggered off the Elland Road surface and went directly into the tunnel for further evaluation. Thomas Tuchel would be concerned about his injury ahead of the showcase match against Liverpool at Wembley.

N’Golo Kante has also been out for the last three games, leaving the manager with little options on the bench if the French international is unavailable. As they prepare for the final stretch of the season, Jorginho’s return to the group will be welcomed by the management.

We are hoping that the injury is minor and that he will be able to return to the squad in time for the weekend games and assist us in winning the trophy. Jorginho may be placed against Kante if he misses out, assuming the Frenchman makes the matchday squad.

If not, Tuchel can choose from Saul Niguez, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Ross Barkley. This season, Kovacic has appeared in all three of our matches against Liverpool, scoring in the 2-2 league draw at Stamford Bridge.
