Block him don’t let him leave – Mauricio Pochettino tells board to stop Chelsea star move

According to the Guardian, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has told the club not to entertain any offers for 20-year-old defender Levi Colwill.

Pochettino reportedly intends to keep Colwill at Stamford Bridge at all costs.

Colwill is highly rated at Chelsea and impressed on loan at Brighton last season, making 24 appearances across competitions for the Seagulls.

Brighton are reportedly intent on keeping Colwill beyond this summer, but Pochettino doesn’t want the player to leave Chelsea.

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi admits Brighton will struggle to find a replacement for Levi Colwill if Chelsea opt to keep the defender this summer.

When asked about Colwill’s long-term future at Brighton, De Zerbi said last month: “I would like to work with him for another two, three, four years.

“It’s difficult to find another centre-back, left centre-back, with his quality.

“He’s a good guy, I think he’s improving a lot. This year his improvement has been fantastic.

“I hope he can stay with us.”
