Deal to be announced soon. Final medicals completed for top midfielder
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has completed the final parts of his medicals ahead of his move to Saudi club Al Ittihad.
Kante’s Chelsea contract expires at the end of June and the World Cup winner will join Al Ittihad as a free agent.
Romano said: “Understand N’Golo Kanté has completed second, final part of medical tests with Al Ittihad yesterday and deal will finally be announced in the next hours after being revealed here two weeks ago.
“Terms have changed as contract will be longer than expected.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez wants to talk to Mauricio Pochettino about playing further forward in the Chelsea midfield next season, his father has revealed.
Fernandez played a deep role in midfield under Graham Potter and Frank Lampard but wants to play further forward next season.
“Enzo is comfortable, happy, and adjusting to London,” Raul Fernandez told The Chelsea Spot.
“He was happy about the arrival of Pochettino. Next season? My son wants to be a champion.
“I think [we will see Enzo play further forward]. He was going to ask [Pochettino] to play further advanced.”
