Blues looking to complete first summer transfer deal for superstar ‘who scored 30goals+ a season’
Chelsea are targeting a move for Robert Lewandowski as they seek to add a new striker to the squad.
It is no secret that boss Thomas Tuchel is lacking a goal-scorer up top that has the ability to find the net on a regular basis, as Timo Werner has not scored the goals that many had hoped for.
And with reports suggesting that Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud may depart the club at the end of the season, there has been a whole list of players already linked with a move to the Premier League giants, and Lewandowksi is one of them.
The 32-year-old remains one of the deadliest goalscorers in the world, netting 36 goals in the Bundesliga in just 26 appearances this campaign while also carrying a heavy workload in the Champions League.
Lewandowski’s current Bayern contract runs until 2023, but his agent is pushing for a renewal to be agreed for him to stay at Bayern for the next few seasons, but no deal has been sorted just yet
And According to ESPN, Lewandowski is undecided on his future and could be tempted by a new challenge.
The reports also claim In order to enter negotiations with Bayern over the purchase of their star striker, ESPN say that potential suitors will need to offer €60million (£52m).
There are only a handful of clubs in world football that would be able to pay his wages right now, most of them in the Premier League, so if he does leave Bayern in the summer, there will surely be a big scramble to get his services signed.
But if we are able to get a transfer deal done, they will be signing of the best players in world football
