Blues to launch £86m deal for 60-goal player, Tuchel to offload 9 Chelsea players this summer, as Chelsea could sign player for €25m this summer

Chelsea consider launching £86m forward bid and are likely to have edge over Barcelona in transfer battle

Chelsea are reportedly considering launching a bid of around £86million for the transfer of Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgium international has been on fire in Serie A this season, showing himself to be one of the finest centre-forwards in Europe again after a difficult two-year spell at Manchester United.

It now seems Chelsea are eager to re-sign Lukaku, according to Calciomercato, with the Blues eyeing up as one of their priorities to come in up front this summer, behind only Erling Haaland.

Following the struggles of Timo Werner, it certainly makes sense for Chelsea to be looking at other options, and Lukaku could be ideal for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The 27-year-old had a fine record in his time in the Premier League during his spell with Everton, so would likely not struggle to settle as Werner has.

Haaland also seems a highly ambitious target, so an £86m move for Lukaku may be cheaper and more realistic for CFC.

However, Calciomercato note that Inter boss Antonio Conte is absolutely determined not to lose his star player this summer, so this won’t be an easy deal for Chelsea either.

Barcelona are also mentioned as suitors for Lukaku, with Ronald Koeman working with him during their time together at Everton.

The issue for the Catalan giants, however, is they’re less likely than Chelsea to be able to afford the player.

Thomas Tuchel preparing to offload nine Chelsea players in major summer clear-out

According to recent reports, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is preparing for a summer clear-out with as many as nine players set for the exit.

That’s according to the Mirror, who claim Tuchel is set to boost his transfer budget by saying goodbye to several of his fringe and wantaway stars.

Although money is no issue – and despite Blues’ owner, Roman Abramovich, being one of the richest men in football, even the Russian tycoon must succumb, occasionally, to FIFA’s financial fair play rules.

In order to build a Premier League winning side, it is widely accepted that Tuchel has plans to bolster the options he inherited from Frank Lampard earlier this year.

If the Mirror’s report is to be believed, Chelsea could be preparing for a huge summer overhaul.

The nine players rumoured to be up for sale are listed below:

Tammy Abraham – Striker

Emerson – Defender

Kepa Arrizabalaga – Goalkeeper

Jorginho – Midfielder

Fikayo Tomori – Defender

Antonio Rudiger – Defender

Ross Barkley – Midfielder

Ruben Loftus-Cheek – Midfielder

Michy Batshuayi – Striker

Torino would supposedly be ready to sell Andrea Belotti for just £21.6m this summer.

The Italy international has scored 103 times in 219 appearances for his Italian club in all competitions, scoring 11 goals in 27 outings during the 2020-21 campaign.

A new report asserted that Chelsea could move for the 27-year-old during this present summer’s transfer window if they miss out on a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland.

The Italy international’s present contract is thought to include a release clause of £86.5m, but the agreement will just run until June 2022, implying that Torino are not in a solid negotiating position.

As per Torino Granata, the Serie A outfit would consider offers in the area of £21.6m in the impending market, making him a less expensive alternative to Erling Haaland.

Andrea Belotti is also accepted to be a target for Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and West Ham United.
