‘Board and Chelsea fans won’t wait for you’ – Struggling Chelsea player receive strong warning
10 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions for Romelu Lukaku, and 5 goals in 17 Premier League games is far from a convincing return for the £97.5m signing.
However, Lukaku had a nightmare performance against Crystal Palace, as the Belgian had zero shot all game, with only 7 touches of ball. For a player of £97.5m, Lukaku has so far not shown that he’s worth the hype.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has now warned Lukaku that Chelsea don’t wait for players and he won’t be an exception.
Cascarino told talkSPORT: “It just feels Lukaku’s very isolated a lot of the time and with that I think the frustration for Chelsea fans is that he’s not quite pulling his weight as well.
“They sense that he’s not buying into what’s really required of him.
“We can go back to the interview about Inter Milan and how he loved it [there].
“When it’s going well for you somewhere and you’ve done brilliantly well and then you have a move and it’s not quite the same and you haven’t got the same relationship with the players, and you’re a big earner, Chelsea don’t wait for strikers.
“They won’t wait for Lukaku either.”
