BREAKING: 4 Chelsea players ruled out of Juventus clash after latest fresh injuries
Ahead of Juventus clash, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has ruled out four Chelsea players for the game.
However, Thomas Tuchel has ruled out the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and Christian Pulisic through injury, while N’Golo Kante will miss the game after testing positive to coronavirus.
Tuchel said: “Christian, Reece and Mason are out.”
“N’Golo unfortunately tested positive and he needs to quarantine and follow the government protocols. He was not in training today.”
Tuchel spoke in more detail about the injury James sustained during against Manchester City this weekend.
He said: “It’s still very painful. It will come down to pain management in the end and how much he can accept.
“Right now we are looking at a minimum of one more week.”
However, N’Golo Kante’s fitness comes as a big issue as he had been used sparingly this season due to fitness concerns.
The France international had only just recovered from a groin injury that had seen his game time restricted to two 45 minute appearances against Tottenham and Aston Villa earlier this month.
While he was taken off on the hour mark during Saturday’s disappointing 1-0 defeat against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
