BREAKING: Chelsea fans sends fresh Roman Abramovich message to UK government during Southampton clash
What a great match as the Blues trash Southampton 6-0 on Saturday afternoon after following back to back defeat.
However, Chelsea fans don’t seem to have forgotten their Russian owner Roman Abramovich, despite the sanctions he’s currently facing from the UK government.
Well, during the game against Southampton, Blues fans still chanted Roman Abramovich’s name away at the St Mary’s Stadium.
With Chelsea set for a new ownership, fans still acknowledge Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich for all he has done for the club.
Meanwhile, Chelsea fans had been warned by the UK government that their actions were inappropriate, especially when fans chanted his name during a minute silence reserved for victims of the Ukrainian war, during last month’s visit to Burnley.
Spokesperson of Prime Minister Boris Johnson had said: “We recognise the strength of feeling around people’s clubs but that does not excuse behaviour which is completely inappropriate at this time. I think people can show passion and support for their club without resorting to that sort of stuff.”
