BREAKING: Chelsea ‘fear mass player exodus’
According to The Sun, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, and Jorginho are among the Chelsea players who could depart in a player exodus.
Both Kante and Jorginho’s contracts expire next summer, and it’s possible that Chelsea may lose both if they don’t sign new contracts this year.
The Sun also suggests that Mount’s future, whose contract expires in 2023, may be in jeopardy.
According to recent reports, Mount may leave Stamford Bridge if the club does not ensure his long-term future there.
Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are poised to leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Rudiger’s departure has already been confirmed following his rejection of a new contract.
In the meantime, Christensen has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Blues boss Thomas Tuchel made it clear he wanted the futures of Kante and Jorginho to be resolved this summer in order to avoid a repeat of the long-standing uncertainty over Rudiger and Christensen.
Tuchel said: “Nobody wants that (uncertainty) with players, especially big and important players. It is important that we solve this in the summer so that it is clear where the journey is.
“At the moment it is difficult to handle anything. But yes, of course, this should be the target for us.”
