BREAKING! Chelsea ‘have submitted’ very late offer to sign £50m Brazilian star

It’s January transfer deadline day, has reports have claimed that Chelsea have submitted a late move to try and sign Leeds star Raphinha

The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now and it has come down to deadline day that Chelsea will move to get their deals done, and with the fact that Chelsea need to reignite their season, Thomas Tuchel needs to freshen up the squad.

Manchester City are winning on a weekly basis, while Chelsea are not, and although they are still in that Premier League title race, their results have been too inconsistent over the past few months to give pundits cause to say they will be Champions by the end of the season.

And Raphinha is a player that Chelsea may look to sign over the next for weeks of business.

Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have managed just 10 goals between them in all competitions this season, and although they have impressed at times this year, Tuchel is not fully convinced that they have the quality to win titles

Raphinha, 25, managed six goals in his first season in the Premier League, and the Brazilian winger has already surpassed that tally in the current campaign after netting eight times.

However, reports has claimed that Chelsea have made late contact with Leeds about a possible deal for the Brazilian star, although Leeds do not wish to sell their star man for anything less than £50 million

The Brazilian is under contract until the summer of 2024, so if Chelsea were going to get a deal done, they would have to do some hard earned convincing.
