Reports on Frank Lampard keep mounting in the media. This time ESPN have informed Chelsea plan to approach Derby this week to take the 40-year-old Rams’ boss to Stamford Bridge.

According to the source, the former midfielder will be offered a 3-year contract.

The Sky Sports journalist Nicolo Schira has shared the same information concerning the length of the deal:

However, Derby owner Mel Moris has recently reiterated his desire to keep the manager at the club: “We’ve made it clear to everyone, but most importantly to Frank, that we want to retain him for the long term.

If Chelsea want to hire him, then it is in their gift to make an offer in pursuit of that.

“In the meantime, we’ll continue to put our best foot forward to continue with our plans for the coming season and work with Frank, (and) for him to know how much he’s wanted by everyone associated with the club.”
