BREAKING: Chelsea set to seal another late €90m move
According to reports, Chelsea and RB Leipzig are in advanced negotiations to sign Josko Gvardiol.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that Chelsea are now making serious efforts to close a deal for Gvardiol.
Chelsea will loan the defender back to Leipzig for the remainder of the season after the trade is finalized.
One of Europe’s most promising young defenders is the Croatian international.
However, At just 20, Gvardiol has developed into a top player, but Leipzig have been adamant that he is not for sale in this transfer window.
Gvardiol had signed a new contract which included a buyout clause of £43m – but that can only be triggered next summer.
Chelsea have opted to pay more to sign the defender this summer and beat rivals to the signing.
Chelsea will be hoping they can get a deal completed before Thursday’s deadline.
