Chelsea boss Frank Lampard understands he needs defensive signings this summer to help improve a defence that has leaked goals all season.
Former Chelsea defender Nathan Ake, who has impressed since he left for the club for Bournemouth, is one of the defenders that have been linked with Chelsea but Lampard isn’t interested in re-signing the Dutch centre-back.
Ake would be the cheapest option for the Blues and could move for less than his £40m buy-back clause if Bournemouth are relegated but Lampard still isn’t interested in a move for Ake.
According to Daily Mail, Ake’s lack of height is the reason why Lampard isn’t interested in re-signing the Bournemouth defender.
