Breaking news: Chelsea legend leading consortium to part-buy Chelsea at final hour

With the deadline for offers to come in to buy Chelsea Football Club this evening at 9pm, it looks like Chelsea legend John Terry is making a last ditch attempt to part-own the club alongside a new consortium.

However, according to Goal, Terry and former women’s football star Claire Rafferty are fronting up a £250 million ($329m) consortium called True Blue in an attempt to buy a 10 percent stake in the club.

The report states that they would not be able to buy Chelsea alone, and it will need to be alongside another consortium such as The Saudi’s or The American’s.

It looks like a bid being made off the back of Terry’s involvement in NFT’s recently.

There are others in this group as well, one is Chelsea supporter and prominent Tory party donor David Meller, alongside his son Jonathan.

Harley Kisberg, founder of iTech Media, and Stanford Loudon, an investment banker, are also among fellow fans and founding members.
