BREAKING: Premier League set to make this huge VAR decision after Chelsea vs West Ham incident

On Saturday afternoon, Chelsea defeated West Ham 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, and that game generated a lot of discussion.

In the 90th minute, a goal by West Ham was disallowed.

Maxwel Cornet thought he had scored a late goal, but VAR overturned it because Jarrod Bowen was found to have fouled Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Newcastle also experienced a contentious VAR ruling when their game-winning goal against Crystal Palace was overturned.

According to reports, the Premier League will review the controversial VAR decisions made at Stamford Bridge and St James’ Park yesterday with the referees’ governing body PGMOL.

West Ham boss David Moyes was angry with the decision and claimed the  VAR call was “scandalous” and “rotten”.

After the game, he told Sky Sports: “It is a scandalous decision, absolutely rotten from one of the supposedly elite referees.

“It doesn’t say much about whoever sent him over from VAR as well. It is an unbelievable decision against us.”

The Premier League will now review the working of VAR with refereeing body PGMOL as a matter of priority.
