The French champions Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Italian club Inter Milan to sign Chelsea transfer target Mauro Icardi, This is According to Goal.
The report claims Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement to pay Inter €50 million (£45 million/$56 million)-plus €7 million in add-ons for the 27 year old Argentine striker.
Icardi joined Paris Saint-Germain on loan from Inter Milan last summer and is now set to complete a permanent transfer to the French club after scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions for PSG.
Chelsea have been linked with Icardi in the past before his loan move to PSG and the Blues monitored the Argentine’s situation after Inter Milan rejected PSG’s initial offer.
Inter Milan reportedly included a €15 million (£13m/$17m) ‘anti-Juventus’ clause in Mauro Icardi’s Paris Saint-Germain deal, which is expected to be finalised this weekend.
With Icardi completing a permanent transfer to PSG, the Blues will focus on signing Timo Werner, Victor Osimhen or Moussa Dembele this summer.
