According to Spanish publication Marca, Spanish giants Real Madrid have turned their attention to signing Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante after ruling out a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is a huge admirer of Kante and reportedly wants the Chelsea midfielder at Real Madrid next season.
Real Madrid have signed two important Chelsea players (Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois) in the last two summer transfer windows.
Despite his injury problems for the Blues this season, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be unwilling to let Kante leave Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid.
Lampard recently insisted the Frenchman is an important player for the Blues.
“We obviously need N’Golo Kante in our team, one of the best players in the world,” Lampard recently said.
“I knew that before becoming manager of Chelsea, I know that from working with him. We unfortunately haven’t been able to have him much this year, but going forward we want him fit and ready to go.”
