BREAKING: Roman Abramovich officially sanctioned by UK Government, what it means for Chelsea
Big massive news has come through this Thursday morning, right before Chelsea prepare to play a game of football.
This is the last thing that Thomas Tuchel and his players need right now, but the UK Government has confirmed that Roman Abramovich has been sanctioned by the UK Government and has had his asset frozen immediately.
What this means for Chelsea?
Chelsea have been given a special licence to continue with football related activities, but can’t sell tickets. Only season-ticket holders can attend games.
The exact wording from the Government: “Abramovich is associated with a person who is/has been involved in destabilising Ukraine & undermining/threatening territorial integrity, sovereignty & independence of Ukraine, namely Vladimir Putin, with whom (he) has had close relationship for decades.”
This also apparently means no away fans at games.
Am told this means no away fans at games.

Wow, this is absolutely crazy. On Chelsea’s 117th Birthday as well. Turmoil time now for the club and our future.
