BREAKING: Tuchel sets ‘Incredible UCL record after Chelsea beat Lille as Guardiola, Zidane and Klopp are yet to achieve it

The Blues are though to the quarter-finals of the Champions league after beating Lille 2-1.

However, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has matched a Champions League record held by former Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes after Chelsea beat Lille 2-1 on Wednesday night and 4-1 on aggregate.

Tuchel has won 32 of his 50 Champions League matches as a manager (D7 L11), equalling the record for most wins at that stage held by Jupp Heynckes. Zinedine Zidane won 31 of his first 50.

Tuchel will definitely be proud of this achievement and has been brilliant as Chelsea boss, winning the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup despite only becoming Chelsea boss in January 2021.

Meanwhile, the Champions League last 16 is complete.

The quarter-finalists are Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Benfica and Bayern Munich.

The draw is on Friday at 11:00 GMT.
