Brilliant £60 million winger opens up and formally addresses rumours he could sign for Chelsea
Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman has spoken out on the transfer rumours linking him with Chelsea.
Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for Coman in the summer transfer window amid rumours Bayern were looking to cash in on the France international, but a man who still has three years left to run on his current contract ended up staying put.
Coman headed home Bayern’s winner against Paris Saint-Germain as Hansi Flick’s side secured a treble, but despite his great start to the new season, there has still been alot of rumours that Chelsea will try and complete a transfer deal in order to add a bit more quality to that attack.
But amid the speculation, Coman is flattered to have appeared on the radar of the London giants, but he has no intention of walking away from Bayern before the expiration of his current contract.
“It’s good to know that good teams are interested in me, it gives me additional confidence,” the France international told SportBild.
“But I have a contract here until 2023, I’m just thinking of Bayern. It’s all good, I’m happy … ” Coman went on to admit that he feared for his place in Flick’s team after Sane’s arrival at Bayern, adding: “I had the feeling that I could be used less often. I’m 24, that’s an age I have to play!
“Fortunately, my fear did not come true.”
Coman is a brilliantly gifted player that Chelsea would love to add to that squad of theres, but it is not a surprise to see that he has no intention of leaving Bayern is it?
