Cesc Fabregas was a huge fans’ favourite at Arsenal before sealing a move to Barcelona in 2011.
After three years with the Spanish giants, Fabregas returned to the Premier League, but this time with Chelsea, where he won the Premier League in his first season under Jose Mourinho.
Fabregas has now looked back at the Carling Cup final of 2007 that saw the Blues come from behind to win the game, but the end of the clash was marred by scenes that saw Howard Webb issue out red cards to three different players.
However, Fabregas has looked back at that game and tagged it special, as players showed their passion for the game.
“I shouldn’t be saying this but moments like this sometimes makes football even more special,” said Fabregas. “Proper passion for wanting to win even if it’s not always possible.”
A 22-man brawl ensued after a tussle between John Obi Mikel and Kolo Toure, with the two African legends shown a red card, with Emmanuel Adebayor also shown a red, and the two skippers on the day Frank Lampard and Cesc Fabregas were both shown yellow cards.
