Chelsea confirm three more players are injured ahead of Sheffield United clash

The official Chelsea website have confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino is now facing even more selection headaches when it comes to the return of Premier League action tomorrow.

Their regular injury updates post has seen three new names be added, with them all being regulars in the first team when fully available.

The loss to Everton last week has somewhat been overshadowed in terms of the result by the magnitude of concerns the Blues left Merseyside with.

Reece James is the first new name on the list, with him suffering another devastating hamstring problem that looks set to keep him on the sidelines for months rather than weeks.

He was quickly joined with an unfortunate problem by Marc Cucurella, who was substituted in the second half due to his own ankle problem.

While Mauricio Pochettino was unsure how long he would be out, the fact he has been added to the injury list suggests he will not be fit for the game in 24 hours time against Sheffield United.

Chelsea have three more injuries.

One of the most interesting enforced changes will be between the sticks though. Robert Sanchez was a third player who could not see out the 90 minutes against Everton.

He was replaced at the time by a debuting Djordje Petrovic, who now looks in line to make his first start for the club after his move from the MLS.

Those who have seen the 24-year-old play speak highly of his talents, and will be hoping that he is able to show that he has enough quality to fight for a more regular spot in the side.
