High up Chelsea board member wants to sign ‘Elite striker’ for boss Pochettino in January

There is somebody high up at Chelsea that want to back Chelsea in the January window and sign Victor Osimhen.

Nicolas Jackson seems to have the trust of his manager Mauricio Pochettino, but it does not look like that will stop Chelsea from entering the market for a new No.9.

He has been impressive at time during his stint at Stamford Bridge, but he does not look like a forward that has the ability to push on and score 20-30 or even 40 goals a season for the Blues.

Now – according to reliable CHELSEA journalist Simon Phillips, writing via his substack, a high-ranking board member is personally desperate to sign Osimhen. The official is apparently adamant they need to sign a striker and thinks Napoli’s star marksman is the perfect fit.

However – if they were to move, it’s been reported that the Serie A side could demand as much as £120 million.

Could Chelsea sign Osimhen in January?

He possesses the kind of firepower that could take Chelsea back into the top four and possibly challenge for trophies in the next couple of seasons, he is a player that is really an elite forward.

But he is closing in on a new deal at Napoli – it seems that he wants to stay put, challenge for that Seria A title and play Champions League football. CHELSEA can offer him some serious money and give him the challenge of the Premier League.

But they cant offer him Champions League football right now, they cant offer him the chance to challenge for the big titles, it would be a massive decision to come to Stamford Bridge at this stage of the Blues development
