Chelsea star Christian Pulisic was expected to miss the start of the season after suffering a bad hamstring injury in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal.
It was believed at the time that Pulisic could be out for up to two months, but the American star has made a quick return from injury and is now set to be in line for the season’s opener against Brighton on Monday.
Roger Gonzalez confirmed in a tweet that Pulisic is back from injury.
He tweeted: “Can confirm that Christian Pulisic is 100 percent fit — well ahead of schedule, and he will be available for Chelsea’s Premier League opener vs. Brighton on Monday.
“Pulsic trained with the first team today.
“Key was the work put in during short off season w/ club physios.”
Meanwhile, new signings Hakim Ziyech and Ben Chilwell are expected to miss the start of the season due to injury.
