Chelsea fans reacted to Real Madrid and Chelsea upcoming deal on £72m player

Lots of Chelsea fans are over the moon with news that Real Madrid are preparing to make Kepa Arrizzabalaga’s loan move a permanent one.

However, Kepa joined the Spanish giants over the summer transfer window, after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old was signed as a temporary replacement for injured Madrid stopper, Thibaut Courtois, who picked up an injury ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Kepa has so far featured in all but one of 11 Real Madrid’s fixtures this season, and there are now reports in Spain that he could become a permanent player for Carlo Ancelotti’s side next summer.

The news have been received with excitement by some Chelsea fans, who have no doubt, grown tired of the former Athletic Bilbao man, who became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper after he was signed by the Blues for £72m back in 2018.

In his 163 appearances for Chelsea since 2018, Kepa hardly seemed assured in between the sticks, and fans appear to be happy he may finally be exiting Stamford Bridge.

Commenting on the news, a fan said on social media: “Win-win. Happy for him and for us.”

“I like this kind of news….let them sign him,” another fan wrote.

One excited Chelsea fan commented: “best news of the day” while another said their “prayers have been answered”.
