The Premier League may only be a few weeks from resuming after the government opened the door to a June return, but there is still alot of transfer speculation about just where Coutinho will end up during the summer window.
Bayern have decided not to keep him after his loan spell, Barcelona are seemingly set of letting him leave in order to raise some transfer funds, and reports have suggested that Chelsea are the club that are keen on him most.
Willian is leaving Chelsea during the summer window after failing to agree a new contract with the club and Frank Lampard knows that he needs to bring in an adequate replacement for the Brazilian star.
And now Rivaldo has claimed that Chelsea are still interested in signing the midfielder during the summer, despite his injury.
Coutinho was due to return to action for Bayern Munich when the Bundesliga resumes this weekend but the 27-year-old is likely to be ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery.
‘Chelsea are the favourites to sign Coutinho and I don’t believe they will be put off by his recent injury,’ Goal.com reports. ‘After all, next season is still very distant and he will have enough time to a completely recover.’
