Chelsea have been given a huge boost in their long-running pursuit of Ben Chilwell with the links of Leicester to a potential replacement.
However, The Sun write that the Foxes are interested in Charlie Taylor of Burnley. The left back has impressed at Premier League level after many years of being one of a number of highly-rated products of the Leeds academy.
Ben Chilwell has long been linked with Chelsea as a big move being lined up for this summer, and if Leicester are looking for a replacement in that position they may be ready to cash in on their England international sooner rather than later.
The real question for Chelsea is perhaps whether they could steal a march on the opposition by going for Taylor instead.
Certainly if the excellent Leicester scouts have seen something in him, it will be worth looking into further.
He wouldn’t be the star we’re looking for long term, but if Leicester are asking silly money, he might provide similar quality for a far lower price.
