Bayer Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz is tipped to a move to Premier League. A number of top English clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool have targeted the German star.
Ballack as appreciated Havertz’s impressive form. Also insisting that players with such qualities are in demand. Also mentioning that attacking midfielder is in the right hands and must stay there. Should Havertz decide to stay at the Bundesliga outfit, then some of Europe’s biggest clubs would be extremely disappointed. Barcelona is being linked and he has always adored the club as a kid. Bayern Munich has also issued an interest in him.
Chelsea is in need of an attacking midfielder that too of similar skills of Havertz. In case Ballack’s advice influences Havertz’s decision to remain with Bayer. Then Chelsea will look elsewhere and here are three alternative signings who could also work well for the Blues.
1. PHILIPPE COUTINHO: Coutinho has lost his best form and has hugely disappointed the £142m transfer move to Barcelona. Though he has embraced the consecutive titles at Camp Nou before being sent on loan to Bayern. However, anyone who remembers Coutinho’s spell at Liverpool would be aware of his ability to change the game in a moment.
Though Coutinho is reaching the years of his maximum potential. But his experience to play in the Premier League would surely give a bonus to Chelsea to recoup his best form. Frank Lampard squad does have Jorginho as a high scoring attacking midfielder. Moreover, even a small but of Countinho would be a plus for Chelsea Attacking Midfield.
Lampard is all famous for his man-management and if he successfully brings back his previous form than it would definitely prove as an exciting signing. While Barcelona would surely want to regain the surplus amount paid on the Midfielder.
2. MARCEL SABITZER: Premier League rivals Tottenham and Arsenal, as opposed to Chelsea, are eyeing a move for him. Sabitzer is one of an attractive option for the Blues.
Since moving in 2014 he is a constant goalscorer for RB Leipzig. He’s is also backed with 15 goals in 35 appearances this season. Just like Kai Havertz, he’s a versatile Midfielder with a lot of experience at age 26.
3. ANGEL GOMES: Chelsea can also ditch the idea of signing an experienced Midfielder as an alternative to Havertz and can focus on someone like Angel Gomes. He is just 19 and will run out of contract at the end of the season. Thus, he would be available at a compensation fee. But one drawback surrounds Gomes that he doesn’t have enough experience of first-team football. Havertz is just a year older and have 139 senior appearances along with 38 career goals for Bayer. On the contrary, Gomes has only 10 senior appearances with no goal for Manchester United.
