Chelsea has a Young player that could become like Didier Drogba. or maybe higher than him.
Ethan Lamb reported 21 hours ago that Chelsea might not need to sign Osimhen because they have a young player similar to Drogba. Chelsea has been buying many players since Todd Boehly took over, which is risky because of the Premier League’s rules.
Last week, Chelsea said they lost £90.1m in the year ending June 30, 2023. They spent over £1b on players in the last two seasons. Because of this, they might get in trouble with the Premier League, like Everton did in 2023.
They might have to spend less money in the future to follow the rules and avoid punishment.This situation could let coach Mauricio Pochettino give young players a chance to play for the first team. One young player, David Datro Fofana, deserves to play next season.
DAVID FOFANA NEXT DIDIER DROGBA?
Chelsea paid £8m-10m for David Fofana from Molde in January 2023. He played three times for Chelsea in the 2022/23 season. Then, he went to Union Berlin on loan and played 17 times, scoring twice, before Chelsea called him back.
Fofana went to Burnley in January, where he did well and scored four goals in eight games. This included a great goal against West Ham United. His good performance gives hope that he can be successful at Chelsea like Drogba was.
Journalist Hrach Khachatryan called Fofana an “exciting” striker. Turkish commentator Hakan Gulec called him “baby Drogba.” Chelsea might not buy Napoli’s Osimhen, who could cost over £100m, because of Fofana.
If Fofana becomes as good as Drogba, Chelsea will have gotten a great deal for £8m-10m.Drogba joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2004 and became a legend, scoring 164 goals in 381 games. This includes a crucial goal in the 2012 Champions League win.
