According to reports, Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham is reportedly wanted by Aston Villa as he faces a big fight for his long-term future in West London.
The Blues have purchased Timo Werner this summer after campaigns of scoring in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
And Frank Lampard is said to be close to bringing in exciting German prodigy Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen for £90 million.
Having also purchased Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, Frank could go with a new dynamic for his frontline next campaign.
And Olivier Giroud agreed a fresh deal with the club late last season and ended the season preferred to Abraham.
According to MailOnline, Villa “have asked” about Tammy, but the 22-year-old star “wants to stay and fight for his place at Stamford Bridge”.
Abraham is of course well known to the Birmingham side having enjoyed a brilliant spell campaign there in 2018/19. The England man scored 26 goals in 40 matches to help lead Villa back to the Premier League.
That unsurprisingly alerted the Blues that Abraham was clearly ready to stake his place in the first eleven. And he started the campaign in style with seven goals in his first five matches.
