Chelsea interested in world class star after Tuchel requests summer signing
Presnel Kimpembe, a defender for PSG, is reportedly a target for Chelsea this summer.
Big names should be arriving because Ted Boehly is aware that he will need to spend a significant amount of money to keep the supporters on his side and to close the gap on Man City and Liverpool.
There are a handful of first team players who have left or are departing, so it goes without saying that Thomas Tuchel will have some big challenges to cope with in the center of that backline over the next months.
And that has sparked a lot of conjecture about who the club will actually be able to sign this transfer window, particularly with that £200 million transfer budget that Tuchel is rumored to have.
And that has sparked a lot of media speculation that Tuchal has requested the potential signing of PSG star Presnal Kimpembe, per GOAL.
In June 2024, Kimpembe’s contract at Les Parc des Princes is set to end, and it has been reported that Tuchel wants to reunite with the player he once managed.
Speaking to French radio network RMC Sport – Kimpembe recently clarified his intentions ahead of the summer transfer window amid interest from Chelsea. He said: “Everyone knows the love I have for Paris Saint-Germain – it’s reciprocal.
“I’ll be 27 in August, it’s a key moment in my career. I’m waiting to meet with the new management with regard to the club’s project.
“We’ll have to speak very soon.”
