Chelsea are set to raid Manchester City for the signature of another player after they signed Cole Palmer in the summer transfer window.
The recent reports revealed Chelsea are keen on signing the Manchester City defender Sergio Gomez.
A report via Fichajes claimed that the West London club are monitoring the 23-year-old Spanish defender as they look to improve their full-back positions at the end of the season.
Gomez has impressed at Manchester City and he could prove to be a useful acquisition for Chelsea.
However, the Blues already have two left-backs in their squad and they would have to cash in on one of Ben Chilwell or Marc Cucurella before signing the Manchester City defender.
It is unlikely that Manchester City will let Gomez leave as they are already lacking in depth when it comes to the left-back area.
The Citizens have had to field makeshift full-backs this season. They will not want to weaken the squad and would want to sign a quality left-back before letting Gomez leave the club.
