Chelsea make move for €70m-rated Jose Mourinho favorite player
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be looking forward to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
However, reports claims Tuchel is also looking to sign a Centre-back as he’s looking forward to strengthen Chelsea defence.
In recent reports, the BLUES has been linked with Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane, whom the former Blues manager Jose Mourinho has already delivered his verdict about.
However, Chelsea are among the top suitors for Varane whom Mourinho says is the current best defender in the World, following his brilliant show at Madrid and France National team.
“I think Varane is the best central defender in the world.” Jose Mourinho stated.
The Spanish outlet ABC, report’s that the Blues through their boss Marina Granovskaia have been in contact with Real President Florentino Perez for a possible move of Varane to Premier League.
The 28-year old who remains with one year in his contract with Real Madrid and his market value is rated €70m, he could decide to look for a different challenge before his retirement. This could see him making a decision to join English Premier League this summer.
His move to Stamford Brigde this summer could enable Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel bolster his squad especially the defensive line. His skills that has helped Real Madrid to win several titles for the past decade as well as his French national team.
