Chelsea makes fresh Ousmane Dembele transfer decision as Blues to sign star for £50M
According to Sport, Chelsea’s interest in acquiring Ousmane Dembele this summer on a free transfer has diminished.
On June 30, the Frenchman’s current deal with Barcelona expires, and it looks like he’ll leave the team.
Last week, the Blues were thought to be the favorites to sign him, but his outrageous demands have left them speechless.
Dembele apparently wants to sign with the west Londoners for a hefty signing-on fee as well as a sizable compensation deal.
The Blues’ protracted search for Dembele is over now. Given his history of injuries, his requests are seen as being unreasonable.
Which team will be interested in Dembele this summer is still unknown. Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain ended their protracted interest.
Leonardo was driving the hunt for him, but Luis Campos just took over after the sporting director was fired.
Chelsea may yet bring in a new winger this summer, though. Raheem Sterling of Manchester City is a player they are set on acquiring.
Their initial approach of £21 million was turned down, and a new offer is anticipated.
Chelsea ready to pay £50M for Richarlison
According to reports, Chelsea is prepared to spend up to £50 million this summer to get Richarlison from Everton.
All the major teams have been associated with Richarlison during the recent transfer windows because many people think he belongs competing at the top of the Premier League rather than the bottom.
With Richarlison reportedly departing Everton, Thomas Tuchel wants to improve his attacking options after a disappointing end to the 2021–22 season. Chelsea has been mentioned as a potential transfer target.
The Mail reports that the Blues are interested in Everton’s Brazil striker and will pay the high asking price to complete a deal. Previously, Tottenham appeared to be the Premier League team most likely to sign the Brazilian, with bitter rivals Arsenal also interested.
Richarlison’s value increased as a result of his six goals in the final nine games of the Premier League season to help Everton stay in the division. New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is apparently willing to spend heavily in this transfer window.
