The Blues are determined to retain the services of 16-year-old starlet Charlie Webster and are confident of tying the teenager to professional terms when he turns next year.
The highly-rated midfielder has caught the eye of Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, who are looking to get him to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho by moving to Germany and becoming a first-team star.
However, The Telegraph states that Webster has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge and holds no interest of a move away from the Blues.
Instead, he intends to become the latest academy graduate to break through into Frank Lampard’s first-team, following the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Reece James, Fikayo Tomori and Billy Gilmour.
Chelsea are confident of being able to tie Webster down to a professional contract on his 17th birthday in January, which will be a blow to Dortmund and their plans of raiding the Premier League for talent once again.
However, the deal should be a swap deal if Dortmund are desperate to sign our wonder-kid in-exchange of Jadon Sancho.
