Here’s all the latest Chelsea news as Jorginho-Pjanic swap deal revealedlucrative conclusion

Chelsea could be open to Jorginho leaving for Juventus this summer, but the Bianconeri may have to offer more than a swap deal involving Miralem Pjanic.

Maurizio Sarri remains a huge admirer of Jorginho, who he brought to Stamford Bridge for £50m in 2018. After their success together at Napoli, he’s keen to take his trusty midfield metronome back to Serie A.

It is unclear whether Frank Lampard is a fan of Pjanic, however, and having just turned 30 the Bosnian midfielder does not fit the profile of an ideal Chelsea signing. With interest from Barcelona and PSG, there is a suspicion that Juve may be using Pjanic as a bargaining chip.

Inter on the verge of signing Chelsea target

Inter Milan are on the verge of signing Chelsea target Dries Mertens on a free transfer from Napoli, according to TeleLombardia via SempreInter. Mertens has reportedly spoken to Belgium teammate Romelu Lukaku about a move to Milan, with Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta ready to offer him a two-year contract.

One of Napoli’s most consistent goalscorers over the last few seasons, Mertens has netted 12 times in all competitions this term.
