Chelsea have received a huge boost in the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich.
According to Spanish media outlet Sport, Coutinho is keen on returning to the Premier League this summer after failing to live up to expectations at Barcelona.
Chelsea now lead the race for Coutinho after the Brazilian completely ruled out the prospect of joining Manchester United.
Coutinho has ruled out joining Manchester United due to their long-standing rivalry with Liverpool.
Coutinho has also decided Tottenham Hotspur are his last resort having been angered by their approach to negotiations last summer. An agreement was in place for a loan switch before they withdrew their offer at the eleventh hour.
