Chelsea seems to be having a pretty good transfer activity over the past few weeks now, given that they have already signed Ajax star Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig earlier this summer.
Though, the Blues aren’t done with their summer transfer targets, with Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz and Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell among those rumored to be in Frank Lampard’s wish-list.
However, there is a new development news for Chelsea regarding Kai Havertz transfer to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Daily Express, two other teams who were claimed to be rivals of Chelsea for the signature of Kai Havertz, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, have both dropped out of the race to sign the German player.
This indeed is a huge boost for Chelsea as they could get the attacking midfielder for a more favorable price without stress.
Presently, Bayer Leverkusen value Havertz at £90million, but if the Bundesliga club fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League then the price could drop down to £70million as Chelsea hopes for.
