Chelsea owners ready to hire 42-year-old manager with immediate effect as Pochettino faces possible sacking
According to Sports Zone, Chelsea owners are considering Xabi Alonso, currently at Bayer Leverkusen, as a potential replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.
This comes after Chelsea’s 4-2 loss to Wolverhampton, which led to dissatisfaction among fans at Stamford Bridge.
Despite significant investment in the squad, Chelsea have struggled this season, currently placed 11th in the Premier League.
Alonso, also eyed by Liverpool and Bayern Munich, is favored by Chelsea’s co-owner Behdad Eghbali for an immediate managerial change, though co-owner Todd Boehly may be more cautious about such a decision.
