Chelsea player calls for exit after just five games under Tuchel, as Blues make surprise move for Paraguayan International defender

Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour is calling for a move away from Chelsea this summer.

This is According to The Sun via Daily Mail.

However, the Scotland international wants a loan move away from Chelsea to bolster his development after playing just five games under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

The young midfielder is highly-rated at Chelsea but finds himself behind N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic in the Blues’ midfield pecking order at present.

The Scotland young midfielder is hoping to attract interest following a good tournament with Scotland at the forthcoming European Championship.

Blues make surprise move for Paraguayan International defender

According to Versus, Chelsea have made an enquiry for Palmeiras centre-back Gustavo Gomez. The Paraguayan website claim that both sources in Brazil and those close to the player have told them that the Blues had been asking about the 28-year-old.

Gomez has been with Palmeiras for the best part of three years, having initially joined the Brazilian Serie A side on a two-year loan deal from AC Milan before signing on a permanent basis last summer.

The Paraguayan international defender has been in good form, having helped Palmeiras win the Copa Libertadores (South America’s equivalent of the Champions League) back in January.

Even so, Gomez is hardly a well-known name in Europe, and it may be the case that manager Thomas Tuchel wants to strengthen his options at centre-half, without breaking the bank, so Chelsea can then invest most of their transfer budget in the likes of Erling Haaland and Achraf Hakimi.
