According to The Telegraph, Frank Lampard side have been considering signing a new goalkeeper as the future of 25 years old Spanish international Kepa Arrizabalaga, seems to be uncertain due to his poor performance.

Chelsea lost 3-2 to West Ham united on July 1, a game that was suppose to take the Blues side to the 3rd position in the premier league table.

Chelsea have been keen on signing Ajax stopper Andre Onana as a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga ahead of the 2020/21 season campaign.

The former Athletic Bilbao stopper has came with a world record signing for a goalkeeper and he has suffered mixed fortunes during his time at Chelsea, although the Spanish international has regained his place in Frank Lampard’s starting XI over Willy Caballero after the restart of the Premier League but still struggling to keep clean-sheet.

It has been confirmed that Andre Onana will be saying goodbye to the Netherland side but it unsure where the superstar will be heading. Onana contract will end the 2022 but the Blues will do well to lure in the goalkeeper to Stamford bridge with a good pay and a starting IX spot.

Andre Onana will definitely want to play in the Champions league and also win trophies with a new club, so Frank Lampard would be able to also use the help of Hakim Ziyech to land the Cameron international.

Frank Lampard have been heavily linked with the £30m rated goalkeeper for few months now, as he will serve as a possible replacement for Kepa and it has been suggested that the England manager will continue his spending on the goalkeeper.
