Chelsea ready to sell player for £50million this summer after latest decision
According to reports, Chelsea are reportedly ready to sell Kepa Arrizabalaga for £50million this summer after failing to live up to expectations at Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish goalkeeper joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao for a record £71million in the summer of 2018, a fee that has proved to be an expensive mistake for the Blues.
Edouard Mendy, who joined Chelsea from Rennes last summer, is now the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at the club.
According to Spanish outlet El Gol Digital via Daily Express, La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao are keen on re-signing their former goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
New Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelino has ambitions plans of leading the Spanish side back into Europe and has reportedly requested the Athletic Bilbao board to sign Kepa, Bayern Munich’s Javi Martinez and former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente.
It’s yet to be seen if Athletic Bilbao will be willing to match Chelsea’s £50million valuation of Kepa.
