Chelsea receive double injury boost ahead of Burnley clash
Chelsea have received a double injury boost with both Kepa Arrizabalaga and Billy Gilmour returning to first-team training ahead of the Premier League trip to Burnley.
The west London giants have been without Arrizabalaga over the past few games with a shoulder injury, but he has overcome the problem ahead of Saturday’s trip to Turf Moor.
Elsewhere, Billy Gilmour has finally returned to training alongside his teammates after an extended time on the sidelines following his surgery for a knee ligament injury.
Gilmour is unlikely to return to first-team action anytime soon and Lampard has previously said that the club graduate may feature for the development squad before the international break.
The Blues recently ended a three-match winless streak across all competitions with a comfortable 4-0 win over Krasnodar in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
They will be aiming to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday. The capital outfit are presently 10th on the table with nine points, four adrift of surprise leaders Everton.
